Project: „Project Restoration of Hydro Insulation of Turbine Hall and Reactor Building of Kozloduy NPP Units 1-4”

With the current project are considered measures to restore the hydro-insolation and drainage systems of the roof. It will be applied one layer of new hydro-insolation, before hand were carried the necessary preparotory and dismanteling activities.

Design: By the contract assignor were prepared and approved the projects by parts Architecture, Structures, Lightning Protection, Water Supply and Sewerage, Construction Waste Management.

Quality and Safety and Health:  A Quality Program has been prepared and approved, containing technical instructions for the main activities and plan of the control points; Health and safety instructions for all activities are considered in the design parts.

Execution of construction works:

Dismantling   works

  • Dismantling of old damaged (unstuck) hydro insulation (“Voalit”), including on the boards;
  • Removal of the dismantled insulation and associated materials from the roof and transportation to a depot;
  • Dismantling of existing galvanized sheet iron lining on a board of the type A -110/100 (TH), including wooden lining;
  • Dismantling of existing galvanized sheet iron lining on a board of the type C -110/100 (TH – expansion joint), including wooden lining;
  • Dismantling of old gutters (TH, RB);
  • Dismantling of exhaust pipe penetrations of pipelines Ø100 to Ø500, which are out of use on the roof of the TH, Units 1-4;
  • Dismantling of old water outfalls;
  • Dismantling of unnecessary metal/non-metal structures on the roof;
  • Removal of the damaged coat on the facades of the Reactor Buildings;
  • Transportation and disposal of construction waste to the nearest existing waste disposal site.

 

Installation   of new hydro –insulation

  • Supply and installation of lining (caps) made of 0.8 mm galvanized sheet iron along the boards, expansion joints and protective collars at the gutters;
  • Installation of hanging gutters of 133 series, made of 0.8 mm galvanized sheet iron (DVC);
  • Installation of Ø100 water outfalls made of 8 mm galvanized sheet iron.
  • Installation of metal caps on exhaust air pipes, (out of use) from Ø100 to Ø500  on the roof of the TH, Units 1-4;
  • Patching of the lime-cement render on walls (DVC);
  • Supply and installation of rubber walkways for protection of the new hydro insulation.

Activities on facades are performed in alpine style.

Mechanization: BENDINI / LIEBHERR truck with main and auxiliary boom

Primary materials: Hydro-insolation: SBS modified bituminous membrane / non-woven polyester base 180 g / m² 4 mm thick. Its characteristics are according to BDS EN 13707 (Bulgarian State Standard – BDS) “Flexible hydro-insolation sheets. Reinforced bitumen sheets for roof hydro-insolation. Definitions and characteristics “. The application is done by gas welding.

Mounting elements: Fischer / HILTI anchor bolts, self-tapping screws, dowel-nail.
